Today we got a box of apples donated to Kakano 1. So we decided to learn about halves and quarters and do a recap on fractions. We cut them in half and talked about how to write a half. Then we cut it in quarters and talked about writing them too. Each group of 3 or 4 had their own apple and knife to cut themselves. I think some of our students need a little more work cutting. This was a great experience for Kakano 1 we learnt about fractions and had fun cutting up and eating the apple.
